School History

Founded in 1995, Hsin-Chuang High School (HCHS) is located in northern Kaohsiung and its campus covers an area of 7.07 hectares. There are 39 regular classes composed of 1545 students with faculty and staff members of 127 in the school.

The school was established with modern buildings containing purpose-built facilities. There are 46 general classrooms, 78 specialized classrooms and 27 administrative offices. There are two to three specialized classrooms for each subject including Chinese, English, society, music, geology, computer, housekeeping, fine arts, living technology, national defense education and health care. Two laboratories are provided for physics, chemistry and biology classes respectively.

The school is equipped with some venues, such as assembly hall, libraries, aerobics classrooms, group counseling rooms, badminton rooms and billiards rooms, outdoor sports venues, sports fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and barbecue areas that are intended for large-scale events.

General activity center has been built to cater to multiple needs. It contains standard comprehensive stadium, sports equipment room, weight training room, audio-visual classroom and club classroom.

Through visionary leadership of the principals and continued effort of its faculties, Hsin-Chuang Senior High School has become a cradle that fosters students with global vision, caring hearts and initiative-taking attitudes.

With the emergence of globalization, our school has offered various foreign language courses since 2007 for students to become global citizens and life-long learners. The selection of the courses includes six languages (German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese).
